The release date for Moana 2 in theaters is set for November 27, 2024, as officially announced by The Walt Disney Company. Accompanying this unexpected revelation, Disney unveiled a brief teaser featuring Moana on a beach, with Maui's voice making a cameo at the conclusion.
We were given an early glimpse of Moana 2 through an image, showcasing Moana, Maui, and companions aboard a boat sailing alongside a whale shark (as you can see in the background of the countdown). The resemblance between the animal's appearance and Moana's grandma, who resembled a manta ray, suggests that the whale shark might also be one of her ancestors.
