Netflix has confirmed that they are cancelling one of their most ambitious shows to date. Original series '1899', which premiered on the streaming service November 17th 2022 will not be being renewed for any further seasons. This comes as a shock to millions of viewers that have been following the series that was in the Netflix Top 10 for multiple weeks.
The creators took to Instagram to confirm the decision:

The show's creators had previously revealed plans for further series, however this relies on the network giving the green light. As you can imagine, comments have been flocking in from outraged fans venting their upset at this decision, with some hoping alternative streaming platforms will pick up and continue the show.
